A closed loop water system from AKS offers many benefits to the Company as well as the local community and environment. GWT instantly becomes a more efficient consumer of water resources. Furthermore, the new system helps us achieve higher level cleanliness of assemblies on behalf of our customers. Lastly, this approach is so much more environmentally conscious in that tainted, dirty water is no longer dumped into the public drainage system.

Added Selective Soldering Station: Pillarhouse, JADE S-200

The JADE S-200 station by Pillarhouse provides selective soldering of through hole components to printed circuit boards at a low cost approach with inherently smaller bath design ( compared to wave solder ) and the added advantage of quick change capabilities i.e., from lead free to eutectic and visa versa. In addition, with the nitrogen gas feature, solder joints are inherently improved.

Greatly enhances our communication to Customers and Vendors. B). Added multiple Fuji CP 743 Chip Shooters Accepting up to 140 device inputs at placement speeds of 0.068/shot and rated at 52,000 CPH with +/- .066 mm accuracy and 0201 ready greatly improves automated SMT assembly capabilities. C). Added Automated Conformal Coating Machines and Facility: PVA 750 Combined with GWT’s traditional manual conformal coating capabilities, The PVA 750 adds accuracy and thickness precision to the conformal coating process. D). Added Vacuum Capability to the Epoxy Potting Process Provides additional capability to minimize voids in our product encapsulation process.

New DI Water System Installed

Golden West Technology has installed a DI water system that now complements our traditional RO-based water system. In addition, a batch cleaner and a cleanliness tester are in place to insure that PCBAs meet the rigorous cleanliness standards put forth by the aerospace and military industries.

New Automatic Screen Printer Machine & ROHS Certified, Solder Reflow Oven

GWT would like to announce an aggressive new step in capital investment for their main manufacturing plant. The company has secured a new Ekra fully automatic screen printer machine that promises to be a significant upgrade over the existing equipment. GWT has also purchased a new leadfree, ROHS certified, solder reflow oven, the Heller 1707EXL. Both new machines are expected to enhance our manufacturing capability and help us achieve higher levels of quality.
