Founded in Southern California, GWT began as a small, family-owned electronics shop focused on one thing: building boards that perform under pressure.

From the start, our focus was on precision, reliability, and lasting partnerships—values that continue to define us today.

80s & 90s

Earning a Reputation for Reliability

Golden West became known for computer electronics and peripherals built with best-practice manufacturing—long before certifications were standard.

As production scaled and offshoring grew, we stayed true to quality, joining the ISO movement in 1999 to formalize our Quality Management System and strengthen our reliability promise.

2000s

Investing in Innovation & Quality

To better serve our growing customer base, we moved into a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Fullerton, California, and added high-speed SMT lines, 3D AOI, and X-ray inspection.

With certified quality systems in place, we earned ITAR certification in 2010, and began partnering with medical and aerospace OEMs that demanded the highest reliability. Our focus on tight sourcing controls and domestic materials defined our niche in high-performance electronics.

Expanding Capacity for Smarter Supply Chains

To meet growing demand, we added a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse and 3,000 sq. ft. stockroom dedicated to inventory and supply chain management. These upgrades give customers more control—allowing them to buy in bulk, hedge quantities, and secure components for future production.
