Golden West Technology has thoroughly addressed BGA X-RAY inspection by acquiring a Nicolet NXR 1400-I X-Ray inspection machine. The Company previously had BGA placement and BGA rework capability, and this acquisition completes full exposure in that area and brings outside reliance on inspection�in-house. Recently, GWT made another investment in the inspection area by purchasing a Yes-Tech YTV-F1 Automated Optical Inspection unit. By embracing the robust features of enhanced technology and machine vision techniques, increased speed and consistency will be obtained by our inspection areas.

Responding to the growing health care industry, Golden West Technology has added automated SMT assembly equipment including Fuji high speed chip shooters and automated high speed optical inspection. GWT�s medical equipment customers include OEM�s involved in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, brain aneurysms, heart monitoring and blood flow in the uterus. GWT offers full turnkey and test through final assembly. Located in north Orange County,GWT has been providing EMS services for over 30 years.

GWT has made a commitment to support existing customer requirements to transition some of their products to RoHS compliance and to offer RoHS compliant assembly for new customers. With that commitment GWT has purchased a new Technical Devices flow solder machine for lead-free soldering of printed circuit boards. Also it will be purchasing a new Heller reflow oven designed especially for lead-free reflow soldering. Along with that commitment GWT has purchased, installed and implemented software for due diligence to comply with RoHS and is offering part validation per IPC 1752 to show compliance to RoHS if challenged by the EU. GWT has also invested in IPC training and certification in lead-free assembly and green lead-free workstations. Our customers are serious about lead-free manufacturing and so are we.
