This year’s audit by our registrar NSF-ISR was particularly challenging for a number of reasons… the first one being that GWT had to comply with the latest ISO and AS91OO standard upgrades that take us to 2015 and 2016 respectively. Secondly, over the past 19 years of compliance, our original Quality Manual’s organization and configuration needed to be updated to totally match the most current standards. Not only did we pass the audit with flying colors but we also have a brand new Quality Manual that has a realigned and reformatted, fresh look that is easier to use and apply. Huge thanks to Derek Bannon, our Quality Manager, for successfully navigating us through this process.

Golden West Technology has successfully passed its 3-day, maintenance audit with NSF-ISR; and therefore is free to continue on with whats left of the 3 year registration term in compliance with rigorous standardsISO-9001 and AS9100. Please go to the quality certification page for a view of the certifications that took effect on May 9, 2016 and extend through to September 14, 2018. Golden West Technology thanks NSF-ISR for their diligence and professionalism as well as GWTs own Derek Bannon, Quality Manager, for his excellent navigation through the 3-day audit. The work doesnt stop as GWT will be upgrading the quality system to AS9100 rev D by next year.
GWT has successfully passed a rigorous four day audit of its AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality program and has renewed their three year contract with NSF-ISR. Every six months, NSF-ISR will be visiting the plant to conduct a one day regularly scheduled surveillance audit to ensure that GWTs quality system is operating effectively and as documented.
Readying itself for the aerospace and military markets, Golden West Technology took a significant step by achieving AS9100 registration in June of 2007. Over the past six months, the company has upgraded and implemented a more stringent set of quality processes and documentation culminating in the approval of its quality system in a 3 day audit by our Registrar, NSF-ISR Ltd. AS9100 fully incorporates the entirety of the current version of ISO 9000 while adding additional requirements relating to quality and safety. Furthermore, potential customers have the ability to tap into the OASIS Database to scrutinize GWTs quality performance going forward. The bottom line isGWT is working hard every day to improve its quality programs for the benefit of all its customers.
