Golden West Technology is proud to announce a new addition to their staff, Juan Martinez. Juan has decided to join Golden West Technology as our new Quality Manager. He has been working in the medical labs and consumer electronics industries in the area of quality for approximately 15 years. GWT is fortunate to have identified a key person who has the skills and experience to lead our diverse inspection group as well as capably maintain and develop our well established Quality System centered around ISO9001 and AS9100D. We know it’s all in good hands!

Golden West Technology has successfully passed its 3-day, maintenance audit with NSF-ISR; and therefore is free to continue on with what�s left of the 3 year registration term in compliance with rigorous standards�ISO-9001 and AS9100. Please go to the quality certification page for a view of the certifications that took effect on May 9, 2016 and extend through to September 14, 2018. Golden West Technology thanks NSF-ISR for their diligence and professionalism as well as GWT�s own Derek Bannon, Quality Manager, for his excellent navigation through the 3-day audit. The work doesn�t stop as GWT will be upgrading the quality system to AS9100 rev D by next year.

For a small manufacturing company of approximately 50 employees, Golden West Technology maintains an incredibly high level of accumulated service years� 870 years to be accurate. That�s roughly an average of 17 years per employee. Furthermore, about 70% of our employees have been with the company for over 10 years. We definitely see it as a company asset translating into a very high competence level and noticeable quality performance� something you the customer can tangibly benefit from with good quality products and strong, positive results.

In 2014, Golden West Technology achieved another major milestone in company history by reaching 3 million units delivered to our customers. As a testament to how consistently busy we�ve been over many years and how increasingly busy GWT has become recently, it took only 8 years to reach the last million as compared to 18 years for the first million, and 13 years for the second million.

In an effort to improve and continually produce safe and reliable products, Golden West Technology is now certified per the IEC/TC 62239-1 Specifications for Part 1: Preparation and maintenance of an Electronic Component Management Plan (ECMP) � Process Management for Avionics. At the heart of the plan is the SAE AS5553 Rev. A – Aerospace Standard for Fraudulent/Counterfeit Electronics Parts; Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation and Disposition. This standard was created in response to the growing concern of increasing volume of counterfeit electronic parts entering the aerospace supply chain. In addition to adopting the overall plan, GWT has implemented the proper procedures and practices to address procurement, inspection, risk mitigation and acceptable public reporting of counterfeit components.
