GWT has purchased a second S2O Yamaha Pick & Place machine from Yamaha/Amistar in the last 2 years. It is our 3rd Yamaha Pulse machine that complements an S20 and an M20 already in place over last few years. All three machines are paired with MPM screen printers and give us three state of the art SMT lines to serve our growing customer needs. The advantages of this new Yamaha equipment are multifold…bringing added flexibility, speed, efficiency, and space/footprint utilization. We were able to retire our Fuji line to gain added space and a consistent, uniform approach to our pick and place operation. GWT is 75% of the way to achieving its long term goal of four complete Yamaha SMT lines without having to move to an expanded area. The company also upgraded one of its Reflow Ovens to another Heller 1707 MK III that complements our other oven (Heller 1707-EXL) with both carrying seven temp zones and added quality and flexibility.
